Instructions for Completion of Recipe Collection Sheet
Dear Rancho LaQuinta Friends and Neighbors,
Thank you for choosing to participate in "A Taste of Rancho LaQuinta", featuring favorite recipes from Rancho LaQuinta members. As we indicated to you in our recent letter, we so enjoy living, working, and playing at Rancho LaQuinta, and wanted to design a beautifully illustrated cookbook for members to treasure for years!
Please submit 2 or 3 of your favorite recipes in the following format on the form provided above:
- Print clearly with ink and place only one recipe per form (please print extra forms for each recipe)
- List all ingredients in order of use
- Include container sizes, e.g. 16 oz pkg. or 24 oz can
- Keep directions in paragraph form (not in steps)
- Use names of ingredients in the directions, e.g., "combine flour and sugar". Do not use statements like, "combine first three ingredients"
- Include temperatures and amount of time for cooking, chilling, baking or freezing
- Your recipes should fit into the following categories
- Appetizers & Beverages
- Soups & Salads
- Vegetables & Side Dishes
- Main Dishes
- Breads and Rolls
- Desserts
- Cookies and Candy
- This & That!
It is our hope that the cookbook will be returned from the publisher and available in March 2006. There will be a nominal fee per cookbook, and the net proceeds will be donated to The Julie Anne Sadlier Memorial Scholarship Fund, The Barbara Sinatra Children's Center, and Paws and Hearts.
Please be sure to indicate on the form above how many books you would like reserved to order -- so that we will have an idea of the quantity to publish.
We look forward to receiving your recipes and getting to know more of you on a personal basis. We will be in touch with you via a postcard again in February with news of the progress. Call, of course, with any questions!
